Carsten Rockstuhl received a Ph.D. from the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, in 2004. After a PostDoc period at AIST in Tsukuba, Japan, he has been at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, Germany, since 2005. In 2013, he was appointed a full professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. His research revolves around theoretical and computational nano-optics. He is a member of the Karlsruhe School of Optics & Photonics, the Max Planck School of Photonics, and is a fellow of Optica. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of Optics Letters.
