JCM Wave GmbH
JCM Wave GmbH is an enterprise located in Berlin, Germany. It is a spin-off company from Zuse Institute Berlin, a research institute for numerical mathematics. JCM Wave has a long-standing background in developing and applying simulation tools for rigorous simulations of Maxwell’s equations with an emphasis on photonics applications. The JCM suite simulation environment is a world-leading software in terms of accuracy and computational efficiency. JCM Wave’s technology relies on advanced finite-element methods for applications requiring high accuracy and fast performance, as well as on machine-learning based algorithms for design optimization. JCM Wave’s customers come from the fields of optoelectronics, the semiconductor industry, metrology applications, and photovoltaics, as well as from fields of basic academic research.

Sven Burger
Sven Burger received a PhD in physics from the University of Hannover, Germany. He has been postdoctoral researcher at LENS (University of Florence), Italy, and lecturer at Technical University of Berlin, Germany. He is director of research at JCM Wave GmbH and also leads the Computational Nano Optics research group at Zuse Institute Berlin.
